Home Situations

Tell us what is happening. We will work out what needs fixing.

These are the four conversations we have most often. You’ll probably recognise at least one.

A New space

“We're opening a new office.”

We help think through the infrastructure before anyone shows up with a laptop and an expectation.

  • Internet and network planning
  • Switches, Wi-Fi, firewall
  • Racks, UPS and cabling
  • User systems and servers
  • Procurement coordination
  • Deployment and handover

B Performance

“Our server is slow and users are complaining.”

We work through the layers instead of restarting the first thing that looks guilty.

  • Server resource review
  • Application and service checks
  • Database and storage
  • Network dependencies
  • Virtualization allocation
  • Backup and capacity review

C Migration

“We want to move some workloads to cloud.”

We bridge what you already run with what you're trying to move — including the parts that quietly depend on each other.

  • Current environment review
  • Workload and dependency mapping
  • Cloud resource provisioning
  • Hosting and access setup
  • Backup approach
  • Post-migration support

D Hardware

“We need hardware, but we don't know what to buy.”

We translate the requirement into components that make sense now and still make sense in two years.

  • Server and workstation specs
  • Network equipment selection
  • UPS and rack planning
  • Infrastructure accessories
  • Vendor coordination
  • Deployment after sourcing

02 More of the conversations we have

…and the ones you didn’t expect to bring up.

Not every call starts with a grand project. Plenty begin with something small and annoying. If one of these sounds like your week, you’re in good company.

“Our internet drops every afternoon.”

What we’d do first: We check the link, the router, the firewall and the Wi-Fi in turn — and take it up with the ISP when the problem turns out to be theirs.

Talk to us

“We’re growing and the Wi-Fi can’t keep up.”

What we’d do first: We look at coverage and capacity, then redesign it around where and how your people actually work.

Talk to us

“Someone left and nobody has the passwords.”

What we’d do first: We help you regain control of admin access, write it down properly, and make sure it never lives in just one head again.

Talk to us

“I’m not sure our backups would actually restore.”

What we’d do first: We run a real restore test, fix whatever it reveals, and write the recovery steps in plain language.

Talk to us

“We have an old server we’re afraid to touch.”

What we’d do first: We learn what depends on it, plan a safe upgrade or move, and keep a way back at every step.

Talk to us

“We’re opening a second branch and need it connected.”

What we’d do first: We plan the link, security and addressing so the new site behaves like part of head office.

Talk to us

“Our cloud setup grew on its own and nobody owns it.”

What we’d do first: We map what’s running, tidy up access and backups, and check it all matches what the business needs.

Talk to us

“Our developers deploy by hand, and it’s stressful.”

What we’d do first: We set up repeatable builds and releases, so shipping becomes routine instead of an event.

Talk to us

“Nobody really knows what equipment we have.”

What we’d do first: We take stock of servers, devices, links and licences, and leave you with a clear record you can actually use.

03 A gentle checklist

Signs it’s probably time to call someone.

None of these is an emergency. All of them are easier to sort out early, while there’s still time to do it calmly.

Tell us what you’re seeing
  • The same problem keeps coming back after a restart.
  • Only one person really knows how things are set up.
  • You can’t remember the last time a backup was tested.
  • New joiners wait days for equipment or access.
  • You’re about to move, grow or change how you work.
  • You’re buying hardware without being sure it’s the right fit.
  • Everyone has a workaround for something that “should just work”.

04 Not sure what to expect?

Here’s roughly how a first conversation goes.

No pitch, no pressure, and no need to arrive with the right vocabulary. We listen first and ask questions second.

You

Hi — our file server has been slow for about two weeks and people are getting frustrated.

Us

Thanks for telling us. A few quick questions: when did it start, is it slow for everyone or just some people, and did anything change around that time?

You

Probably after we added more people. Honestly, I’m not sure what’s even running on it.

Us

That’s completely fine — that’s what we’re here for. We’ll look at the server itself, the network between it and your team, and how it’s backed up, because the cause often sits somewhere unexpected.

You

And what will that cost? I don’t want to commit to anything yet.

Us

You don’t have to. We’ll tell you what we find and what we’d suggest before anything is decided. The next step is simply a short call to look at the setup together.

An illustrative example of how a first conversation tends to go — not a real client.

05 The right skill for the right layer

The right people for the job.

Infrastructure problems cross technology areas. Each requirement gets handled by the people who work in that area every day.

Infrastructure

Windows and Linux environments, hosting and core systems.

Servers · Hosting · Systems

Cloud

Workloads, access and resources in modern cloud platforms.

AWS · Azure · GCP

Network

The connected office — from the wall port to the wide-area link.

Routing · Switching · LAN/WAN

Continuity

Protection and recovery, so a bad day stays a bad day.

Backup · DR · Veeam

You shouldn't have to become an infrastructure expert just to run your business.

Tell us what you're trying to build, fix, migrate, procure or manage. We'll break it down, work out what's actually needed, and get it done with you.
